Simple Handmade Annies

I just finished stitching up these two sweet Annies. Both are ready to travel to a new home.

BOTH DOLLS ARE SOLD

Both of these petite girls are 11 inch muslin dolls that have been aged to give them an old tyme look and feel. Their painted legs have been sanded so they're soft and worn. Their faces have been stitched with care.

Of course, each girl comes with her grubby little bunny that look as though they've endured years and years of lovin'. Each has lost a button eye somewhere but they don't seem to mind. They understand that lovin' does that to a bunny sometimes!

HOMESPUN ANNIE

Annie's little dress is crafted from checked homespun and matching bloomers. She was a little shy about being the only girl with an old homespun dress so I sorted through my old button jars and found a pretty heart button. I even added "chicken scratch" embroidery to her sleeves and hem. You can see by her smile that she is quite pleased!

Her hand-dyed wool hair has been spun with an old drop spindle ~ just like grandma would have done.

This little Annie is $22 plus shipping.

ANTIQUE ANNIE

Antique Annie's little dress is crafted from a cotton rosebud print as are her bloomers. An antique button from my grandmother's sewing box is sewn onto her dress. Her little bunny wears a matching bow.

She, too, is $22 plus shipping.

Both dolls are collectibles and are not intended as toys. I made them both using a Bowls N Annies pattern though the little grubby bunnies are my own handmade pattern. Paypal or check accepted.
